Hi! I'm Sabine, and I live just north of Sheffield, near Stocksbridge. I began silversmithing in 2005, and in 2007, lit the lampworking torch for the first time. Lampworking is the art of melting glass and shaping it into beads, and it was not long before I specialised in sculptural beads, such as roses and butterflies. Being able to work with metal as well as glass allows me to create pieces from start to finish, and I enjoy the freedom of creativity this brings. I now sell my beads as well as jewellery, and have recently launched a new site with cake toppers incorporating keepsake jewellery, bridal pieces, tiaras, etc., as well as art clay fingerprint jewellery. I also teach lampworking, and contribute to beading, jewellery-making and glass art magazines. Oh yes, and I work full-time in a completely unrelated job, and have a toddler. I guess that kind of fills my day!
