Kay is 29; prone to exaggeration; a Trekkie (keep it under your handmade hat); sweet not savoury; short of patience; busy; a PhD graduate; a dedicated recycler; a long-winded story-teller; a long list-maker; a scientist-cum-artist who after a lifetime of watching her mum sew suddenly got the point and flung herself fabricwards. Learning as she goes, perfecting if she can and always enjoying the processes of creative flow, Kay finds artiness at home balances her scientist alter-ego. It was then a short hop to realising that in a weekend, every weekend, you can make yourself new things from old. Always one for change, variety, and unusual combinations, Kay loves to draw on many influences in her creations. Never looking back, she opened her Etsy shop in 2008 and has greatly enjoyed the variety in sales, customers and special requests.
