I'm in my late thirties and stay at home mother to my three-year old daughter. I loved doing all sorts of crafts as a child and became addicted to sewing and dressmaking at the age of 12, making many of my own clothes. I later took a Diploma in Fashion design followed by a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art. I didn't pursue a career in art or fashion in the end but returned to sewing and dressmaking just a couple of years ago after I had my daughter. Since then I have set up a part-time business designing and making accessories for the home using mainly linen fabrics and printed designer textiles. I'm learning to knit at the moment and would love to find more hours in the day to also try embroidery, textile printing and various paper arts.
